WELLFLEET, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Forty pilot whales rescued Monday were stranded again Tuesday on mud flats at Lieutenant's Island near here.
Rescuers, from the Cape Cod Stranding Network and other facilities kept the stranded whales wet Monday until they could be pushed back into the sea off Cape Cod where rising tides helped them into deeper water.
